Introducing Emma FitzGerald
Hi, I’m Emma, an experienced, qualified Science teacher tutoring students in person and online. I’m based in Stirling, Scotland. I teach Biology up to Advanced Higher and A-level. I also teach Chemistry, Applications of Maths and Maths up to National 5 or GCSE level.
I have online courses which are free to current students. Existing students will receive a password to access the content. These courses cover everything you need to know about the National 5, Higher or Advanced Higher course, including sections on calculations, practicals and exam prep.

How much does it cost?
A one hour tutoring session costs £40 per hour. We do have special rates for siblings or schoolmates who would like to share a lesson. Ask for details.
What are your operating hours?
I am open from 3.30-8.30 Monday to Thursday.
What is expected from the student?
The student should do their best.
Tuition should not replace time spent in personal study. The student should complete school assignments as well as homework set by me. Students should ask for help if needed.
Where is it?
I teach in person in Causewayhead Stirling. This means you will bring your young person to me. I don’t travel to student’s homes. I would consider online lessons if required.
What happens in a lesson?
Each session is different. An average session could include an explanation of tricky topics, definitions and concepts, exam questions or help with school homework and assignments. We have a comprehensive website to back up these lessons.
What is expected from the parent/carer?
Lessons start on the half hour, so parent/carers need to be prompt in delivering their young people. Time lost cannot be made up after. Parent/carers are welcome to stay and observe the lesson. Payment must be made before the lesson takes place.
